“Beginning at age 15, I didn’t like seeing myself in a mirror. Being overweight was not the issue, but not having the female figure that my friends had was. The boys nicknamed me “the wall.”
As children were being born, weight became an issue. At 26, I went from weighing 125 to 157 after having my first child. For 19 years, I have fluctuated from 150lbs – 180lbs constantly doing the “diet” thing.
I was introduced to Leanness Lifestyle University and lost 40lbs ending with a weight of 141.8lbs. As a graduate the biggest benefit for me is I am emotionally and spiritually equipped with a true understanding that the lifestyle change is more than just food and exercise. I have embraced the lifestyle change physically and emotionally from within myself. I love looking in the mirror and smiling every time I do. I am more open with expressing my feelings rather than be a doormat for others to walk on. I have an armor of steel that harmful words can’t penetrate. I love unconditionally and strive to be a role model for others. I am the “want to be” instead of me wanting to be like someone else. I truly believe I am beautiful inside and out!
The next steps in my journey will be maintenance and spreading the “LLU” gospel. A student of LLU for life I’ll be.”
