Congratulations Martha Collins! Now a graduate of Lifestyle 180 and the next-level course Lifestyle 218! What follows is what Martha had to say about her journey.
This is Martha Collins, age 65. I went on my first diet when I was just shy of 14. Since the age of 14, I have been a yo-yo dieter. I have been on eleven formal diet programs before I started LLU.
As an RN, and life-time learner, I was always attempting the most recent entry into the diet landscape. I have been a fat fighter all of my adult life. Some years I was able to maintain “my fighting” weight and unfortunately there were other years where my BMI soared to over 40. Analytically, I researched the offerings and was convinced that LLU was what I was looking for.
For years now, I have had David Greenwalt’s book and had received e-mails from him. I was especially pushed over the fence by listening to Coach David interview a past graduate. With my history, I was a bit skeptical of why this time would be different.
As a person of faith, I felt that the time was right to go all in. Once I committed, I was given the most precious advice….Do what Coach says. Since beginning LLU I have released 74 pounds. But more importantly, to me, I have learned to adore exercise…even Resistance Training. Daily exercise is such a stress reliever for me. It starts (5:30 a.m. sessions) or ends (8:30 p.m.) my day on such a positive note.
Sugar kills; but did not fully realize until joining LLU that chemicals are so very toxic. Food is information for me and I know beyond a doubt that real food sans chemicals work best for me and my lifestyle.
Thank you Coach David and the LLU staff for giving me more than a simple 2 %. This fat fighting is chronic, just look at my history.
Forever grateful, as life is such a gift.
