Jenni lost 43 pounds and 20 percent of her starting body weight in 18 weeks. She wrote me after graduating and there’s no way I could say it as well as she does so here you go…
Prior to my enrollment in Lifestyle 180, I feared a lot of things and for good reason. I was slowly becoming immobile with daily chronic pain, very weak extremities and painful joints in my hands. To open a water bottle or to rise from a squatted position was becoming almost impossible. I feared not being able to plant my garden this spring, how this new immobility would affect my work habits and not being able to play with my new granddaughter. At 210 pounds, I was at my highest weight ever, even after trying to lose weight with every diet plan known to man. I was scared but pretty much had given up ever being able to lose weight or to live a normal lifestyle.
On January 6th, 2015, I was scrolling through my newsfeed on FaceBook and saw the before and after pictures of an old college friend that had been successful with LLU. I was amazed and intrigued that she had lost over 100 pounds. I immediately went to the LLU website to take a look. I signed up for the free trial and poured over the information on the campus and began to use the tools. It was easy to use and understand and I loved the concepts of living a nutritionally, physically and emotionally fit lifestyle. The evidence-based basis for the program spoke to me as a healthcare professional so I decided to give it a try.
I lost 7 pounds just using the basic tools in three weeks and weighed in at 202.6 on January 28th.
I was shell-shocked after one particular live call we have each Wednesday and sat in my recliner for a good 15 minutes after the call ended. I panicked thinking that this was not what I signed up for but luckily, my husband talked me into giving it my 100% and I am so glad he did.
What stands out for me the most in the lessons were the killer why, focusing on what I want and the “Beast”. The lessons were so informative and this excellent education was the missing ingredient that I had been searching for.
The “300” video challenge was a huge turning point, forcing me out of my comfort zone. And it was dang fun too!
At the end of 18 weeks I had lost over 40 pounds and 20% of my starting weight. I have absolutely no pain, I am strong and I can do squats with no problem. I planted my garden this spring and plan to spend many hours playing with my granddaughter. I have already enrolled in the next course, Lifestyle 218, and I plan to finish the drill and learn how to maintain my weight and active lifestyle.
