Sharlene Washington Loses 50 Pounds and Bikes Across America!

Sharlene Washington, at the age of 61, lost 50 pounds with the Lifestyle180 program while preparing for the ultimate cross-country cycling challenge.
She dipped the rear tire of her bicycle in the Pacific Ocean near San Diego, CA and began an epic 3,100 mile journey to St. Augustine, Florida.
In this 50 minute interview Sharlene and I discuss the 3+ years of her life which led to this remarkable, transformational experience:
At the age of 58, Sharlene was tricked by one of her daughters into a challenging first bicycle ride. That first 25-mile ride quickly turned into a love for cycling. With all 7 of her children grown, she decided it was time to do something special for herself.
In preparation for the big trip, Sharlene rode more than 3000 miles during the 2012 calendar year. To her surprise, for all her effort, she only lost about 10 pounds that year.
Then she found Lifestyle 180 and began the Lifestyle180 program because she knew that nutrition would make all the difference but didn’t know what to do or how to do it.
Sharlene lost 42 pounds in the Lifestyle180 course. Then she lost an additional 12 pounds during her 59-day trip across America. She was finally seeing the full benefits of her dedication!
Sharlene rode EFM (Every Friggin’ Mile) across America. Even still, 20 days after reaching the East Coast, she’s incredibly humble.
