This diet has become popular via Dr. Phil partnering with the author. Does anyone find it odd that Dr. Phil wrote “The Ultimate Weight Solution” back in 2005 and now he doesn’t even mention his own book as the New Year arrives? Weird.
Every 17 days you’re changing what you’re doing. “We call it metabolic, or body, confusion,” Dr. Mike explains.
I call it horse doody. “Confusing” the metabolism is a bunch of bull. Can’t say it any plainer than that – it’s just worthless marketing rhetoric.
Here are the four cycles of The 17 Day Diet:
* Cycle 1: Accelerate. Encourages rapid weight loss, cleansing and fat burning. Discourages fat storage.
— Think lean protein and veggies.
* Cycle 2: Activate. Resets the metabolism.
— Uh, NO it won’t. Bunch of bull.
* Cycle 3: Achieve. Develop good eating habits, re-teach yourself how to eat carbs.
— You can’t stop eating till you realize what’s eating you. Reteaching “how to eat carbs” doesn’t address that.
* Cycle 4: Arrive. A combination of the first three Cycles. On weekends, enjoy your favorite foods.
— Everyone wants to enjoy their favorite foods on weekends. And most everyone falls down many times on weekends. And there won’t be anything you haven’t heard before when after you cut through all the marketing bull you find that golly, you MIGHT just have to limit your favorite weekend foods to ONE MEAL (we call it a splurge) to do well while in an action mode.
Feel free to do your own search for the 17 Day Diet and review whatever is out there. But know this – people who are REALLY good at getting their book out there have a literal ARMY of “plants” who monitor ALL negative reviews and what these plants are paid to do is counter any negative reviews with a positive post or a slam/attack to the negative reviewer. It’s literally their job to counter ANY negative reports so as to “head off at the pass” the negativity. It doesn’t matter if what these plants say is accurate or science based. All that matters is that they counter the negative and SLAM the reviewer who goes negative.
