There are parts of my life right now where I’m feeling on the edge and nearly overwhelmed. I find when other parts of my life are feeling overwhelming I need to simplify my workouts. Going to three exercises so I have less to think about is one trick I use to simplify.
Here is my 300 Workout Of the Week (WOW)! This was a simple quad, hamstring, core workout. Instead of 50 reps per exercise I did 100. 100 X 3 = 300 reps.
Back Squat 10×10 (10 sets of 10 reps – rest as short as possible)
Standing Leg Curl 10×10 (10 sets of 10 reps per leg – rest as short as possible)
Core – Wings/Ab-Straps Knee Ups 40-25-20-15
There are many ways to skin this 300 cat. For this Wednesday workout it’s what I needed mentally and physically. I got a good sweat going, didn’t set the world on fire but feel good that I at least maintained what I’ve got rather than losing or not working out at all. I think it’s a fair trade – do this workout vs. NOT workout at all? The workout I did and am showing you here is the better option.
